Furniture Upholstery in South-East Wales
Covering Cwmbran, Newport and South-East Wales
I have always had an interest in interior design, well made furniture and beautiful fabrics. This lead me to enrol on a part-time interior design course to feed my passion.
My journey in upholstery and soft furnishings began a number of years ago, quite by accident.
My beloved late father had a particular favourite chair in my home. It had became quite warn and I was very reluctant to dispose of it because of its sentimental value.
After being encouraged by a work colleague to try and reupholster it myself, I made enquiries in to upholstery courses. This is when I met Polly from Polliander Furniture Design & Restoration, based in Falmouth.
It was because of Polly’s professional, fun and encouraging approach to learning the skills of upholstery and soft furnishings that I made my decision to embark on the Association of Master Upholsters and Soft Furnishings (AMUSF) diploma course.
Not only am I interested in acquiring these skills but more importantly, saving beautiful furniture from being thrown on landfill and preserving them so that they can be enjoyed for many years to come.
I am very excited about the challenges that lay ahead of me and look forward to transforming your beloved furniture.
